Small Group Lessons
Small Group Counseling is provided by 1 of 2 ways.
1. When a group of students are dealing with an isolated issue (conflict resolution), small group counseling takes on a round table approach where each student is able to speak freely about their involvement and perspective. Each student is expected to listen to all other points of view, be open to suggestions, and actively participate in coming up with ways to resolve an issue.
2. When a group of students are in need of additional counseling support beyond classroom guidance. Students meet 1x - 2x per week for approximately 7 - 8 weeks, engaging in planned activities around a common struggle. Examples include Grief, Family Changes (Separation/Divorce), Anxiety, or other mental health obstacle interfering with the students ability to be available for learning. Parental consent is required for this type of counseling.
